Musso Alexandre

Alexandre Musso explores a singular artistic path, starting out as a graphic designer and illustrator before moving to Brittany in the 2000s, where he launched a streetwear brand and turned to tattooing. It wasn't until 2020 that he fully embraced a new artistic phase, first renewing to linocuts, before returning to large-format drawing and painting.

His creative process is driven by spontaneity and authenticity, capturing the raw energy of the first draft to maintain the essence of the initial idea. Inspired by universal symbols and founding myths, he revisits these themes in relation to our times. His sensitivity extends to nature, as evidence by the "Algues" and "13 coqs" series, which evoke themes as far-reaching as Demeter, the mother goddess of nature. Female representations also occupy an important place, serving as a hypnotic source of inspiration, sometimes pushing his work towards the limits of abstraction, while remaining firmly rooted in figuration.

The formats of his works vary according to technique, from small etchings to large drawings and paintings. While remaining faithful to the material, he constantly explores technical possibilities without limiting himself to traditional conventions. His art embodies a pure, direct joy, which he wishes to share with the public, and reflects the simplicity of living surrounded by his creations.
